The Falkirk Waspi group was initiated in 2016 in response to a national campaign, since then our numbers have been steadily increasing and we now have 300 members. The group covers both east and west constituencies of Falkirk district. We secured support from Falkirk Council and both current MPs. The members have attended demos in London, Glasgow and Edinburgh. We have raised awareness of our campaign by having a Scottish Waspi day at the Helix Park, attended by several Waspi groups from around Scotland. The Falkirk group produced a Waspi calendar and all proceeds went to breast cancer research. The coordinator and members of the group have attended the Cross Party Group meetings held in Holyrood, Edinburgh and attended the Waspi Scotland AGM in Glasgow. Before the pandemic there was a weekly chat session held at Falkirk Trinity Church which we are hoping to restart soon.
